Anthony Blackburn chaired a meeting with North Yorkshire County Council, Highways on 22nd April to discuss a range of potential improvements to the streetscape of the centre of Ripon. This included issues concerning signage, street furniture, street lighting, use/misuse of pavements and split of responsibilities with Harrogate Borough Council. It was agreed that a structured street audit should be carried out in the near future so as to inform the way forward.

Chair of RABA, Anthony Blackburn, led a Ripon Retail Forum meeting, just prior to Easter, to follow up on retail issues raised at the March Ripon Business Seminar. This was well attended by local retailers who agreed that that first impressions and customer service excellence should be the main tactical priorities over the next few months.
